The Garnet color is difficult to define, falling between a deep ruby and medium-bodied red wine. The depth of the vegetable-tanned Cordovan creates a rich, saturated color that cannot be replicated.
As with all lighter shell cordovan, color variation is expected. Color variation between panels is also common and considered acceptable.

"I ordered on 3/1/23 as part of a group pre-order, and the boots arrived 7/22/23, packaged perfectly. These are beautiful boots. They have a texture like glass and the color is rich and deep. They really shine while wearing outdoors in the sunlight, where the red tone is expressed. Indoors, the brown tones are more apparent. After a full day of wear, the rolls characteristic of shell cordovan are collecting in the vamp. This is a great and unique material. Out of the box, the boots felt stiff in the hand, but they were comfortable on foot from the start. I ordered these in my usual Grant Stone size 9D (my Brannock size is 9.5D). I can also wear 8.5D in Grant Stone with thinner socks, and expect I could wear 8.5E from Grant Stone if supplies were limited. Another quality product from the most reliable maker of boots, in my opinion."
